About Us
Plant’s Choice Canada Ltd. owns and operates a large bulk yard operation in the southern portion of the Niagara Region, Ontario Canada. Using varying ratios of compost and sandy loam, we provide 4 standard soil blends along with natural and coloured mulches, stone, and plants. All mixing and blending are done on-site by experienced operators with the use of our screening plants and loaders.
We cater to large and small-scale commercial clients in addition to residential customers. If it’s a blue box or a walking floor – volume is no problem! Most products are available in bags or bulk; customers can pick up or delivery can be arranged.
Plant’s Choice History
Plant’s Choice began in 1990 as the horticultural products marketing arm of Compost Management Associates Ltd., located in Port Colborne, ON.
Over two decades, CMA processed almost a million tons of organic waste in facilities across North America. Our many years as leaders in the compost industry have provided much expertise in the process of producing high-quality soil amendment products which we have carried over to our new location and business venture…PLANT’S CHOICE CANADA LTD.
Plant’s Choice Location
In 2008, PCC purchased an 8-acre parcel of land in Welland, an adjacent additional 4 acres in 2010, and another 11 acres in 2014, which has been transformed into one of the largest soil and mulch yards in the Niagara Region.
Conveniently located at 270 Humberstone Road – we are right before the entrance of the Humberstone Road/Welland Landfill. Vehicles en route to use landfill services realize the convenience of stopping in on their way by to grab soil, mulch stone, and plants. “Don’t go home empty”, is our motto!
